Spring Branch ISD

Laree Stone

After graduating from the University of Texas in Austin, I began my teaching career in S.B.I.S.D.teaching at Memorial High School. Since that time I have taught at L. V. Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas, returned to Houston and taught at Memorial Middle School, moved to Anchorage, Alaska and then returned to Houston and worked at the Spring Branch Academic Institute (formerly known as the School for the Highly Gifted). I am so excited to be back at Memorial teaching the Dual Enrollment U.S. History On Ramps class and A.P. Government and Politics.

Throughout my teaching career I have taught various courses within the Humanities program. The curriculum I have taught include Theatre, World Geography, Freshman English, World History, Junior English, Sociology, Criminal Law, Yearbook, Newspaper, 8th grade E.L.A., U.S. History, G.T. 6th and 8th E.L.A., G.T. World Cultures and G.T. Texas History. I am thrilled to be teaching the Dual Enrollment class created by U.T. History Professors and to be teaching A.P. Government and Politics to seniors.

My husband and I live in the Memorial area and both of our daughters have attended school in Spring Branch I.S.D. Our oldest is now a senior at the University of Texas in Austin and our youngest a senior at Stratford High School.

I am thrilled to be back at Memorial High School. History does repeat itself!
