Welcome to kindergarten! Thank you for trusting me with one of your most precious possessions. I am very excited to begin this school year, and I look forward to an amazing year with your children.

I thought you might want some information about me. I was born and raised in northeast Texas. I graduated from Carthage High School then went to Stephen F. Austin State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. After graduation, I moved to Houston and went to work as a programmer/analyst for Pennzoil Oil Company. I then got married and eventually we started our family. At that point, I made the choice to be a stay at home mom. After both our children were at Wilchester, I realized that I wanted to teach!! I subbed for about a year at Wilchester and other Spring Branch schools and then I went back to school and obtained my teaching certification through the University of St. Thomas and Region IV. I hold the following state certifications: Elementary Self-Contained (grades 1-8), Early Childhood Education (PK-K), Early Childhood Education-Handicapped (PK-6), English as a Second Language (PK-8), as well as the SBISD Gifted and Talented endorsement.  I started working at Wilchester in 1999 as the part time Technology Coach. I continued to work part time through the 2011-2012 school year. While my children were still in school, I was content with working part time, but when my youngest child started her second year of  college, I began teaching full time. I have been teaching Kindergarten in 2012-13.

I love Wilchester Elementary! I have been here as either a parent or teacher since 1995. It is an amazing school filled with caring teachers and parents. As a parent I know how hard it is to send your babies off to school. Please know that I will always do my best to provide a safe and loving classroom environment for all my students. If ever you have concerns or questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I welcome each of you to our classroom!
