Welcome to Rummel Creek!  I am a part time Math Intervention Specialist. I work with students needing math intervention support and enrichment.

About me...I am a native Houstonian as well as a SBISD graduate. I began my teaching career at Nottingam Elementary where I taught 3rd - 5th grades. I, then, had the opportunity  to work as a Science Instructional Specialist at the Robert A. Vines Science for 5 years. When that position was dissolved, I moved to Frostwood and taught 5th grade Math and Science.

I took a break from teaching and moved to Georgetown, Texas and opened a Medical Imaging Center. When the business sold, I moved back to Houston and taught in Katy ISD for 2 years. My heart yearned to return to SBISD, and when the opportunity presented itself, I took a position at Bunker Hill Elementary as a Math/Science Intervention Specialist. Budgets were cut and all of our positions were eliminated. I landed at Westwood Elementary and worked as a Program Coordinator for their before and after school program for 5 years. I, then, retired and here I am at Rummel Creek. This is my 3rd year to work as a Math Intervention Specialist, and I love it as Math has always been my passion!

For fun, I have 2 adorable Shih-tzus who are completely spoiled. I am very close to my family and spend a lot of time with them. I enjoy all college sports...I played volleyball at the University of Houston where I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Traveling and vacationing to  any place with a beach is where you will find me whenever I get the chance. Who knows...maybe one day I will really retire, pack up the pups, and move to the beach.
