STUDY SKILLS

This is my 26th year in education; I spent the first twenty in Fort Bend ISD, and the last six here at MMS.  Go, Eagles!

All four of my grandparents were educators, so it is a source of great pride to tell people I’m a teacher.  It always amazed me that my grandmother Ripple could recall the names of her students even 50 years later from her small Texas town.  I didn’t inherit that trait, but I’ve always remembered the faces of all of my students.

My goal is to challenge the young people in my class to achieve more than they thought they could, and I really do have high expectations for them.  But I also want them to know they are infinitely more important than a grade or the subject I teach.  It’s an honor to be with my students every day, and I am thankful to have a career that continually inspires me to be better.

They may forget what you said — but they will never forget how you made them feel.
