American Sign Language

Becky Jungklaus joins the Memorial High School as staff as the American Sign Language (ASL) teacher.  This is my 7th year of teaching. I  received two degrees, a bachelor degree from University of Houston Downtown and a master degree in Deaf Education from Texas Woman’s University.  I have been teaching at several public and private schools.   I love teaching ASL because it is a unique and beautiful language that uses hand shapes, motion, and facial expressions to communicate visual concepts.  Outside of my teaching, she enjoys feeding my koi in her backyard pond, spending time with her grandchildren, hiking in any national and state parks and doing many different crafts.
