Jennifer was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She graduated from the University of Florida in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. Go Gators!  It was during her Elementary Education internship at the PK Younge Developmental Research School in Gainesville, FL when she found her passion - Psychology and the social and emotional needs of students. Her passion led her to pursue graduate degrees at the Florida State University, earning a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Human Systems. Jennifer also holds a specialized Ed.S degree in Counseling and Human Systems from the Florida State University. She has been and educator for 10 years, serving both as a teacher and as a middle and elementary school counselor.

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys watching her 12 year old son, Thomas play sports. She also loves her puppies, Tessa and Pancho! If she is not busy with Thomas, Tessa, or Pancho, Jennifer loves to try new restaurants, exercise, travel, and spend time with her friends and family.
Jennifer is thrilled to be the 6th grade counselor at MMS this year! She looks forward to making authentic connections with students, families, and staff as she strives to support the "whole child" in all of the students in which she serves.
