Spring Branch ISD

Resource Teacher

My name is Alma Irene Romero, and I was born in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.

I graduated from the School for Teachers (“Escuela Normal de Profesores”) a highly regarded vocational institution where students earned a full certification as elementary school teachers. Later I entered the Regional School of Education and Specialization (“Escuela Normal Regional de Especialización”) where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Learning Disabilities.

"Teaching is my passion"

I taught students in the elementary level in  Mexico for about 17 years in the Public Education System (Secretaría de Educación Pública).  I have been teaching in SBISD for 12 years. I am enjoing working at Buffalo Creek Elementary, and I feel honored to be a part of this campus.
