Ms. Gina Disteldorf

I have been teaching 30 years of which 29 have been have been in Spring Branch.  I have taught everything from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science, Biology, ESL Biology, Environmental Systems and, now, finally Aquatic Science.

All Aquatic Science material (notes, PowerPoints, video links, assignments, readings, labs, projects) will be posted on ItLearning so that students can look up anything they missed or want to go over again.  Included wiill also be  material for students who need extra help but also those who want to take it a step farther.

Student will link up on my REMIND to get notices to study for quizzes and tests, for reminders when projects are due, to be notified of when requizzes and retest windows are as well as reminders that they are missing work and need attend on-line tutorials.  Studens can also send messages to me through REMIND to get a faster answer on any questions or issues they have. Parents are welcome to join our class REMIND as well.

In my family, I am the eldest of 4 girls.  While I am not married and have no chiclred of my own, I do have 3 nieces and 3 nephews that I do not get to see enough because they either live out of town or out of state.  Growing up in a military family, we moved all over the United States and other countries due to my fathers Air Force career.  By the time I graduated high school I had been to 10 different schools so I understand about moving alot and changing schools, states, and countries.

My main hobby is running a Reptile Rescue with both native and exotic/non-native snakes, turtles/tortoises, lizards and amphibians. I get in many abused, abandoned or unwanted reptiles and rehab them for either release (if native), adopt out to good homes, or use them for education. If you have questions about reptile, then please contact me - I'd be happy to help.
