Spring Branch ISD

Dr. Kimberly Coolidge

Like the famous bumper sticker says, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!"  I actually grew up near Salt Lake City until I was eight and then moved to a northern suburb of Chicago.  After high school graduation, I went to the University of North Texas as a scholar in the Meadows Excellence in Teaching Program before starting my teaching career here in Spring Branch ISD. Over the last twenty-five years, I have worked in the district as a literacy interventionist, fourth/fifth grade teacher of all subjects and an assistant principal while completing my doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Houston. I've been blessed to be a member of the Rummel Creek family for the past eleven years.

Both my children graduated from Rummel Creek and were students at Westchester Academy for International Studies.  My daughter, Katie, is studying biology at the University of Texas and my son, Joe, is a sophmore at Westside High School.  When I am not cheering at my son's cross country tournaments or baseball games, I love spending time in my garden, enjoying yoga or Zumba classes, and traveling with my husband.

I look forward to another fun year in fourth grade.  Feel free to visit our team website
