¡Hola Amigos!

Hello !

My name is Lisse Col√≥n. I was born in New York, but raised in Puerto Rico. I began my Spanish teaching career in 1995, at  Cupeyville School in Puerto Rico. I have been teaching for 25 years. I also taught Special Ed for more than 6 years.

I teach Spanish IV Language and Culture and Spanish Pre AP  and AP Literature and Culture. It has been a wonderful experience. I love my  school, Spring Woods. I found it to be a place full of enthusiasm and energy. The staff and the students  are like a family.

My goal as a Spanish teacher at Spring Woods is to  educate well rounded individuals and committed citizens for a changing society by providing them a great education in Spanish. This will enable them to become successful students. Being bilingual opens doors in this competitive world. It is a skill needed nowadays in our increasingly interconnected global communities.  Finally, those who masters more than one language, have better chances and opportunities to get better jobs.

So, join me at Spring Woods to learn Spanish and have fun, while we travel through the language to different Spanish speaking countries.
